Blogger news

"Blogger News", huh... Well, my family has already had two cancer alerts this year. Last year we had a few as well, but two within a month? Fucking heck...

About

This is a webcomic based around the everyday life of me, Ian. It's actually my art project for this year, based on the theme 'gender', and so there'll be a few rudie-nudie bits, and discussion about genderqueerism and stuff... Ian is seventeen, genderqueer, pansexual, and lives in Melbourne, Australia.

Cast and Crew

Cast

I'd like to clarify that the images will be updated at some point soon. I need to work on getting everything together and such, and as I am completely and utterly clueless at how this works, it may or may not be organised within the next few months.

Most of the names in this have been changed to protect my friends' identities. Please, if you read this and know the people involved, do not share their details here.

Ian

The comic is about my own experiences, so Ian - me - is probably going to be the person you see appearing the most. They have a very lax attitude towards their own gender, prefer gender-neutral pronouns, and can easily swap from masculine to feminine within moments. They swap between school uniforms, leading to confusion among classmates and teachers alike. Their Mum is pretty lax about it all, though. Ian is a pansexual genderqueer, and as they attend a very conservative school, it can be very difficult for them to interact within the school grounds.

They like reading, writing, talking with their friends, and being a nuisance to anyone and everyone. Ian's favourite subject is Japanese, closely followed by Art and then English (in general. Ian likes all their English subjects)

Elsa

Elsa is one of Ian's friends from school. She likes Pokemon, playing Ukulele, and drama. Elsa does Japanese with Ian, and the two went on the school's trip to Japan together several years ago. Elsa went again over the summer of 2013-14.

She is also in Ian's Literature and Maths classes. That's two years in a row for those three classes together - on top of that, they're in the same homeroom. They can see each-other a lot in one day.

Misha

Another of Ian's friends from school, Misha lives right down the street from Mud Hole. He likes Doctor Who, Supernatural, Sherlock... basically anything fandom-y. He also helped get Ian into comics, which she is eternally grateful for.

He, along with Elsa, is also in their Literature class. He and Elsa did drama together, too, and completed the subject last year, so now neither of them can do it as a subject.

Mordecai

Mordecai is another in the list of friends at Mud Hole Secondary College. His Mum used to work there - though now she's gone off somewhere else. He's much more of a typical nerd than the others, barring maybe ______, _______, or _______, but that doesn't matter to anyone else. It means he can teach everyone stuff.

He no longer has a Tumblr or a Twitter, so no, you can not follow him there.

Pansy

Pansy, another friend, is probably one of the most outgoing of the group. She and Ian do Language (linguistics) together - and constantly harass one of their classmates, who never really does anything wrong, but he's just so much fun to tease. She really loves Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, as well as Star Trek. Don't get into an argument with her about those things. You will lose. Even if you are right.

Hattie

Hattie is a shy one within the group - she likes reading and writing, and is in Literature with Elsa and Ian. Her Dad is American, and though she's ruthlessly teased for it, she knows that nobody means anything by it. That's just a part of Australian culture, unfortunately. She's introduced the group to several things, like Amanda Palmer, and Cabin Pressure, which makes her completely and totally awesome in their eyes.
